「頂点」を表す新ドメイン「.top」は、なぜ、ジャイアンツとドラゴンズとライオンズが取得できて、他9球団は取得できないのか？

　新ドメイン(新gTLD)「.moe」、「.osaka」、「.earth」を運営する、インターネットサービスプロバイダーの株式会社インターリンク（東京都豊島区、代表取締役:横山正）は、新gTLDの「.top」において、「ー」(長音符・音引き)を含む文字列が取得できない状況であることを確認しました。

　日本野球機構に所属するチーム名を例にすると、ジャイアンツ、ドラゴンズ、ライオンズの3球団のみが、「チーム名.top」を取得することができます。一方、チーム名に「ー」が入る、タイガース、ベイスターズ、カープ、スワローズ、バファローズ、ホークス、ファイターズ、マリーンズ、ゴールデンイーグルス、以上の9球団は、「チーム名.top」を取得することはできません。これはプロ野球界に限ったことではなく、「グローバル」、「センター」、「ツイッター」、「ハンバーグ」、「ブラジャー」等の「ー」が含まれる言葉全てが取得対象外となります。せめて見た目だけでも似せる工夫として「ー」(長音符・音引き)を「-」(マイナス)にして試してみましたが、やはり取得できませんでした。「.top」は日本語でも取得可能ではありますが、現段階では「ー」を含む文字列で取得できませんので、ご注意ください。ゴンベエドメインは、今後も新ドメインを順次追加して参ります。ご期待ください。
