パレット「Intel's online sales for 2002 will total $25 billion, making it one of the biggest e-commerce companies on the planet. He also said that Intel buys another $10 billion in products online annually.」
パーキンス「the business world at large will wake up and realize that if it doesn't consolidate its operations onto the Web, as companies like Cisco Systems, Dell Computer, and Intel have done, it will be at a serious competitive disadvantage.」
バレット「Technology is still developing according to Moore's law, and so is its use and application.」
バレット「Even Intel's VC operation, which, at its peak, was investing $2 billion a year in private-equity money, has slowed to about $175 million a year. If the VC community continues to remain on hold, we could see a drought of new ideas.」
バレット「I see the computer market turning around in the first half of 2003. However, the telco turnaround won't be happening until 2004,」
ラシッド「Something like Google is a great way of finding information that isn't particularly well structured, but the one thing that something like Google really lacks is indexing depth in terms of the information they're working with.」
ラシッド「We're doing research in something like 55 or 60 different research areas. It covers a pretty broad collection of things, many of which are basic areas of research in computer science that have been going on for a long time. Natural language is a good example:」
