創始者は『TechCrunch』のレギュラー記者であり、『Vested Ventures』のファウンダー兼CEOであるSteve Poland。

作り自体は、『TechCrunch』創設者Michael Arringtonが共同設立者の『Edgeio Marketplaces』をベースに構築されている。なのでインターフェースは同じくSteve Polandが立ち上げたサイトである『Techquila Shots』にそっくりだし、『TechCrunch』にもよく似ている。
